Guinness World Record for Plate Spinning
Brian produced, and set, a new Guinness World Record in Cadiz, Spain, as part of the launch event for the Eli Lilly medication, Cymbalta. The mass participation record was for spinning 398 plates for 10 seconds.
World Record-Breaking Tai Chi Event
Reverting back to a martial arts theme, Brian produced a World Record-Breaking Tai Chi event for the largest number of people in an hour long coordinated class, with 551 people in a single group.

The Most Full Hula Hoop Revolutions Per Minute
(Adult Category – OVER 18 year of age).
Katy Lee from the Manchester Virgin Active Fitness Club set the World Record in performing the most Hula Hoop spins in 60 seconds with 145 rotations in one minute.
The Most Full Hula Hoop Revolutions Per Minute
(Children/Youth Category – UNDER 18 Years of age).
Oliver Hurst (then age 9) set the Hula Hoop world record in the under 18’s category with 138 spins in 60 seconds.
Brian has held a total of 5 World Records during his lifetime to date
His 1st personal World Record was set in 1987 in the martial arts discipline of speed breaking 105 regulation blocks; this was done as part of the BBC’s Children in Need charity TV event programme. Once this record was broken, Brian then made another successful attempt at the same world record, again for the BBC’s Children in Need charity event TV programme in 1989, this time breaking 127 regulation blocks in one minute.
